Mint Chocolate Mud Pie: Oreo crust, mint chocolate chip ice cream, homemade hot fudge sauce and whip cream.
Mint chocolate mud pie was my birthday cake of choice for at least the first 18 years of my life. There is nothing better than the combination of flavors and textures that come with every bite. Mint chocolate chip is my all time favorite ice cream flavor. Then mix in my great grandma’s hot fudge recipe and you have a treat that can’t be beat.
The thing I love about making mud pies is their versatility. Just think of the combinations you could create! Oreo/peppermint/fudge, Oreo/moose tracks/fudge, graham cracker/key lime pie/cream, graham cracker/S’more/fudge/cream, the possibilities are endless!
