Cancer, mental illness, loneliness, heartbreak are happening to our physical bodies. Divorce, financial insecurities, and growing pains are happening in our homes. No matter where you turn, you will see and hear about these sad, lonely, heartbreaking tragedies that are filling our world. It might be easy to get down, discouraged or even fearful.

There is one constant in my life that keeps me calm, confident, and focused on what matters most. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that hardships and challenges are part of this life. Everyone experiences them. But the constant, that keeps me focused on the bright side of life is my confidence in the Savior’s power to assist me through them. [Read more…]

Hosting showers, tea parties or family gatherings are a major part of my life. Finding a menu that tastes like a billion dollars is a must. Well this menu will make any brunch taste like a billion bucks.

Chicken salad sandwiches are the most requested lunch at my home. We eat them on bread, inside pita bread or in croissants. It is something I can make at the beginning of the week and keep in the fridge for lunches throughout the week. The shredded chicken or even easier (use canned chicken), craisons, walnuts and celery make the perfect spread for any bread.

We eat salads every day at my house. So when I find a good recipe I can’t wait to add it to our mix. This fresh arugula apple salad is the latest. Not only does it have the greatest flavor but it has the freshest taste. The mix of dried cranberries, pecans, apples and blue cheese give the best flavor.

Making healthy choice meals is a must. I especially love when I can find something that my family can eat for any meal. This fruit parfait pie can be breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert.
