This week flew by! I feel like pregnancy sometimes takes a toll on me. I hate doing most things like cooking, cleaning or leaving the house. I’ve decided though that this time around it won’t get to me! Thankfully the blog is keeping me cooking and my kids are pushing me out of the house. Life can get rough as we’ve all seen this week, but sometimes we just have to get up and get to work! This week I finally started to feel better and did just that and I feel a thousand times better. Birthday Dinners | My Favorite Menu
Birthday Dinners: a favorite family tradition celebrating birthdays with a homemade meal specialized to the birthday person.
Growing up I remember looking forward to birthdays because it meant celebrating with the birthday person’s favorite foods. It really didn’t matter who’s birthday it was because it meant it would be something everyone would love! Easy Mint Chocolate Mud Pie
Mint Chocolate Mud Pie: Oreo crust, mint chocolate chip ice cream, homemade hot fudge sauce and whip cream.
Mint chocolate mud pie was my birthday cake of choice for at least the first 18 years of my life. There is nothing better than the combination of flavors and textures that come with every bite. Mint chocolate chip is my all time favorite ice cream flavor. Then mix in my great grandma’s hot fudge recipe and you have a treat that can’t be beat.
Delicious Sour Cream Potatoes
Sour Cream Potatoes: shredded potatoes, sour cream, cream of chicken and cheese.
I have one favorite food. It’s slightly ridiculous, but sour cream potatoes are my absolute favorite! I could literally eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In fact, growing up on my birthday my mom would make two pans because I loved them so much. I don’t even know what it is about them that turn my taste buds on but this will always be one of my favorite dishes.
The Best Soy Chicken Marinade
The Best Soy Chicken Marinade: onions, soy and the perfect spice blend to create the absolute best chicken.
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a go to chicken marinade. This recipe has been our family favorite for years! It is simple to mix up, slap on or even soak into the chicken. You can bake or BBQ it and you will have a meal that everyone will be asking for.
