The happiest part of our week was finding out the gender of our up and coming baby! I don’t know why I get nervous to find out every time. Like it matters, I’ll love them to pieces no matter what their gender is. I was totally thinking/hoping for a girl because they will be 20 months apart and it would be so fun to have sisters so close together. Maybe it was my childhood self hoping that Olive would have a sister, something that I never had. Either way my kids will be forced to be close, no matter what because they are so close in age.

My husband was certain it was a boy because I have been craving the same foods I did with my son, pickles and ice cream. Nixon is super active and always wants someone to play with him so having a brother would be ideal, especially because he is so obsessed with sports. Funny how the boys were pulling for another boy and the girls were rooting for another girl.

Well in the end it turns out a little BOY will be joining our family in May! We are thrilled! I am still slightly in shock, but shouldn’t be—I come from a family of 4 brothers. We can now plan for his arrival and I am certain he will be loved by every person in our family.
